Introduction

Le Conseil Insulaire de Diego Garcia a été fondé en janvier 2001 afin que Diego Garcia qui avait été exclu du droit au retour soit aussi un atoll où les Chagossiens aient le droit de retourner.

The "Diego Garcia Island Council" was created in January 2001 in order to the Diego Garcia Chagossians the same right to go back home as the other Chagossians, a right still denied in the new Immigration Ordinance.
