Monsieur Mandarin, est un Chagossien né à Peros Banhos et il est le dirigeant du Comité Social des Chagossiens (CSC). Monsieur Mandarin est l'ardent défenseur du statut de peuple autochtone auprès de l'ONU, en compagnie de Maître Hervé Lassémillante (assis à côté de Monsieur Mandarin sur la photo). Le Comité Social des Chagossiens regroupe l'immense majorité des Chagossiens de l'Ile Maurice. C'est la plus grande organisation chagossienne.

Mr. Mandarin, is a Chagossian born in Peros Banhos and is the leader of the Chagossian Social Committee (CSC). Mr. Mandarin is the vibrant backer of the Chagossian status as Indigenous people at the United Nations, with Mr. Hervé Lassémillante (seen sitting next to Mr. Mandarin on the picture). The Chagossian Social Committee comprises the overwhelming majority of the Chagossians living in Mauritius. It is the biggest Chagossian organization.
