Le dimanche 16 juillet 2000 Claudette LEFADE, cofondatrice du Groupe Réfugiés Chagos et première présidente de ce groupe, arrive à Londres pour suivre la révision judiciaire qui oppose le Groupe Réfugiés Chagos mené par son président Olivier BANCOULT à l'état britannique. Un incident avec un douanier qui ne voulait pas laisser Claudette rentrer au Royaume Uni fut heureusement vite dissipé. Claudette rencontra Olivier à l'hôtel St Margareth à Londres.

On Sunday July 16th 2000 Claudette LEFADE, cofounder of the Chagos Refugee Group (GRC) lands in London (Luton) to attend the Judicial Review that opposes the GRC lead by its president Oliver BANCOULT to the British state. Claudette had trouble crossing the border, this was however a short incident. Claudette met Oliver at the St Margareth's Hotel in London where the GRC members were already present since one week.
